| SURVEY China petro-chemical international Company is one of the 5
state-level foreign trade companines, who have the right to deal in the
business of introducing key engineering construction project utilizing
foreign commercial loans and export credit loans, as designated by the
government. It is engaged in the import and export of petrochemical
technologies, plants, raw materials and products, equipments and
machineries, instruments and spare parts; it carries our business in
the fields of processing imported feedstock, fabricating trade, joint
venture operation, co-production, economics and trade consultation,
technical exhange, and entrepot trade. In the October of 1992, the
Company was granted a license for domestic trade.
During the Eighth Five-Year plan period, the company has introduced more than 50 large size petrochemical and refining processes and plants in total, the implementation of which will move the petrochemical industry of our country to a new stage. The Company's import and export volume in 1994 was US 1, 944. 09 million, with US 648.75 million for export and US 1, 295. 34 million import, ranked the tenth among the 500 Largest Chinese Im& Ex Traders in 1994. The Company has so far set up 12 subsidiaryies in China and 18 overseas branches or offices.
