Jinchuan Non-ferrous Metals Company operated on its flash furnace After Jinchuan Non-ferrous Metals Company's second stage flash furnace for the nickel smelting, which was reputed as the worild's No 5 and the Asia's No 1, was put into operation for nearly five years and seven months, the company decided to stop the flash smelting furnace and make an overall examination and repairs from 10th of May for the first time after it was started. More than one year of active preparation on technology, goods supply , construction and etc. was made for the overall examination and repairs. The overhaul include 7 big items and 14 small items of technical innovation projects , 13 big items and 56 small items maintenance projects, and 383 regular examination and repair projects. Total 57, 830 thousand Yuan was invested on the overhaul, and there are 16 groups of about 1,300 persons within or outside the company taking part in it. During the period of 55 days for the overhaul, emphasis will be laid on the furnace body, water system, electric precipitator and disk casting machine for the copper system.
