THE LEBANESE GOVERNMENT RECEIVED A LOAN FROM THE INTERNATIONAL
BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT (IBRD) TOWARD THE COST
OF THE REHABILITATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOLID WASTE TREATMENT
PROJECTS IN LEBANON. THE GOL INTENDS TO APPLY PART OF THE
PROCEEDS OF THIS LOAN TO PAY FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF MACHINERY
AND CONTAINERS PERTAINING TO THE COLLECTION AND TRANSPORTATION
OF SOLID WASTE AND CLEANING OF ROADS IN THE AREA OF TRIPOLI.
THE LEBANESE GOVERNMENT, REPRESENTED BY THE MINISTRY OF RURAL
AND MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS AND THE COUNCIL FOR DEVELOPMENT AND
RECONSTRUCTION (CDR) NOW INVITES SEALED BIDS FROM ELIGIBLE
BIDDERS FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT:
-- PROCURE THREE TRUCKS (5 CUBIC METER IN SIZE) AND FIVE TRUCKS
(10 CUBIC METERS IN SIZE) FOR SOLID WASTE TRANSPORTATION;
-- PROCURE 350 GARBAGE CONTAINERS OF 500 LITERS IN SIZE AND 700
CONTAINERS OF 1,000 OR 1,100 LITERS IN SIZE;
-- PROCURE ROAD CLEANING TRUCKS INCLUDING: 7 PICK UP TRUCKS,
ONE UTILITY TRUCK FOR
CAT), AND ONE WATER CISTERN.
BIDDING WILL BE CONDUCTED THROUGH INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE
BIDDING PROCEDURES SPECIFIED IN THE WORLD BANK'S PROCUREMENT
GUIDELINES.
THIS INVITATION IS OPEN TO CONTRACTORS WHO HAVE EXECUTED
PROJECTS OF A SIMILAR NATURE. CONTRACTORS WILL BE SUBJECT TO
POST-QUALIFICATION AFTER SUBMISSION OF BIDS FOR EVALUATION
ACCORDING TO BID DOCUMENT RULES AND STANDARDS.
INTERESTED ELIGIBLE BIDDERS MAY OBTAIN A COMPLETE SET OF BIDDING
