| 4. Reasons & Conditions for Its Construction an Market Forecasting: As the cream of the Golden Lake, Shangqingxi Scenic Spot is wriggling between remote bare rocks and green mountains. Along its whole course of 15 KM, there are 99 bends and 88 shoals,groups of precipitous rocks, various landforms like red clouds, strange peaks and caves are everywhere. A dense ancient forest is located along both of the banks. The streams are flowing in rapids, becoming shoals, not deep over the knees, or are detained, becoming ponds, unfathomable. In wide places, they are broad and even; in narrow places, they are like small lanes. In the valley, birds and beasts are playing water, not hiding after seeing persons. Groups of wild duck and mandarin duck are playing water in the stream, finding it a delight. You can drift about in four seasons. If you drift from the top to the end by a bamboo, a feel that the sky is humiliated by the mountains and the water entreats the rocks to let out will come into being. Different place, different scenery; different place, different surprise, but not danger. All of that are the enjoyment of regressing back to the nature. The Shangqingxi Scenic Spot admitted 50,000 persons/times from many places in 1997. Along with the continuous development of the national scenic spot (the Golden Lake ) and its tourist facilities and the successive opening of "Golden Lake" special tourist train from Fuzhou to Shaowu and that from Shanghai to Shaowu, the number of the persons that go to the Golden Lake and the Shangqingxi for tourism will increase rapidly.

Construction Scale and Main Contents: To widen 19 KM of the road used for the Shangqingxi tourism, to build a middle-grade hotel with 150 beds, houses used for management in the top and end docks and facilities of tourism spots. The annual capability to admit is designed to 0.5 million persons/times. |
