General Situations on the Enterprise: In Dec., 1970, the previous Shanghai State No.26 Cotton Mill moved from Shanghai to Sanming, Fujian Province, and was named Sanming Textile Mill. Being one of the National Grade-B enterprises, it occupies an area of 0.24 million m2 and possesses the assets of 201.03 million RMB yuan and the liabilities of 17.271 million RMB yuan, while a rate of liabilities and assets is 85.9%. There are s staff of 3109, including 1638 retired staff members. Among its 216 various technicians, 49 persons have the senior or intermediate post titles. The mill consists of two spinning workshops, two weaving workshops, an open-end spinning workshops, five sino-foreign joint venture enterprises, six filial dealing in trade or real estate and several agencies established in Xiamen, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Guangzhou. The enterprise enjoys the privileges of free import and export. The amount of foreign exchange is steadily on rise. |

Situations on Production and Management: The production scale of the mill involves 58,000 spindles, 1000 open-end spinning machines, 502 weaving machines, a productive line of jeans cloth, a productive line of jeans fashion and a productive line of fine chemical. The mill has become a enterprise incorporating spinning, weaving, dyeing and fashion-making.In 1993, the mill was evaluated as an national middle-sized enterprise of Grade-A and the 137 th of the first 500 national textile enterprises. In 1994, it's honored with the title of " the first 100 powerful enterprise in Fujian Province" by Fujian Statistical Bureau. In 1995, it's also evaluated as one of the first 300 large-scale industrial enterprises in Fujian Province, and its comprehensive economic & technical index sits in the second place of Fujian textile enterprises. The main products and its annual quantity are described by: 1. 8800 tons of thread pure cotton, polyester cotton, staple rayon and pure terylene. 2. 23 million m of billet cloth of pure cotton, polyester cotton and staple rayon. 3. 100 tons of elastic yarn. 4. 5 million m of various jeans cloth. 5. 0.3 million suits of jeans fashion. 6. 0.8 million tons of fine chemical. The mill put its emphasis on the quality of products and the development of new products, and 20 kinds of new products are developed in the recent years. Its products has been sold abroad. "Jinque" Band 9.8กม3 pure polyester sewing thread was awarded with the silver prize of national excellent product. |
