The net foreign-fund utilization was $0.415 billion, that directly by the foreign proprieterships and joint-ventures being $0.4 billion. There were 48 newly-ratified foreign investment projects over $40 thousand, sub-items totalling 151. They include such large projects as the Jinhu Tyres, the Nanyu Glass and the Huafei Colored-tubes. Business value of foreign projects contracts and labor force exportation is $6.485 million. The constrution pace of the 8 province-level economic deveopment zones further quickened. The revenues of tehnology, industry and commerce of the new hi-tech development zones were 6.1 billion yuan, and the realized profits and taxes were 0.7 billion yuan.
