Scenic Spots in the Southern Suburbs refers to scenic spots around Yuhuatai, Juhuatai to Oxhead Hill.

Yuhuatai, with its spectacular views and numerous ancient sites, was in ancient days a famous place for climbing and sightseeing. There were numerous temples, and you could frequently hear bells ringing. Some of the temples: Pude, Tianjie, Bifeng, Gaozuo, Yomgning, Cangsheng, Bala, and General Liumeng's Temples. But alas, all these sites have disappeared in wars in the past. In 1927, it turned to be an execution ground here, and heros of one generation spilled their last drop of blood here. Today, pines are green the all year around, and people come to this sacred place to commemorate on the martyrs and their deeds, as well as for sightseeing.
