Hongqiao Economic & Technical Development Zone


Hongqiao Economic & Technical Development Zone is situated in the western part of Shanghai city proper, leans Yanan Road (West) in the south, borders Gubei Road in the west and Xianxia Road in the northeast, not far from Hongqiao Airport. Betore ten years ago, here was originally a piece of farmland. Now it has, had many erected mansions, criss-crossed roads with incessant streams of vehicles and people, and has become an important window of Shanghai opening to the outsde world.

The Development Zone takes the foreign trade center as its feature, and also possesses the foreign affair function. It occupies an area of 65.2 hectares land, plans to build more than 20 highrised office buildings, guest houses, apartments, commercial centers and installations of living service and amusement. It also plans to use a part of land to construct the toreign consulates. The total amount of investment is nearly more than I billion U.S. dollars, the total construction area is more than one million sq. meters. At Present, It has already built 16 highrsed mansions and some complete sets of installations, forms certain scale and creates excellent investment environment.
