China Southwest Airlines Add Two Routes to Deqen
China Southwest Airlines will open a round trip route of Chengdu-Kunming-Deqen-Lhasa to fly every Sunday by Boeing 757-200 and another Chengdu-Deqen direct flight every Thursday as scheduled from April 15 and 19 respectively.
The airport of the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Deqen was open to traffic in April 1999, and currently there is only one route leading from Kunming to Deqen by China Yunnan Airlines.
Guilin to Hold Eighth Tourism Festival
Well known for its picturesque mountains and rivers, China's Guilin is to host its Eighth Mountain and River Tourism Festival from April 15 to 20.
The major celebrations will take place in Xing'an County, which is in the northeastern part of Guilin and famous for the country's best-preserved ancient irrigation work -- the Lingqu Canal.
Meanwhile, a trade fair will be held during the festival.
Northern Airlines to Launch Flight to Korean Peninsula
tourists from China to the Korean Peninsula, China Northern Airlines has decided to open one international flight and reopen another to the Korean Peninsula.
China Northern Airlines will open one international flight by MD90 plane from Shenyang, capital city of north China's Liaoning Province, to Chongju in the Republic of Korea every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from April 10 on.
Meanwhile, the Beijing-Dalian-Pyongyang route, the only regular flight from Beijing to Pyongyang of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, flown by MD82 plane every Monday and Friday, will be reopened.
