The 2001 China(Hangzhou) Golden Autumn Tourism Festival&Thousand-Islet-Lake Water Festival opened on Saturday in the famous Thousand-Islet-Lake scenic spot of east China's Zhejiang Province on Saturday afternoon.

A large-scale comprehensive event combining tourism, culture, business and trade and sports, the tourism festival invludes mainly such activities as Wesl Lake Osmanthus festival, Thousand-Islet-Lake water festival, Wu Hill Temple Fair and West Lake Wedding Ceremony.

An important part of the tourism festival, the Thousand-Islet-Lake Water Festival featuring water culture, water tourism, water economy and water sports includes such programs as theme evening party on water, extreme sports, square gourmet festival, symposium on water across the Taiwan straits etc..
