I carried a shoulder pouch that also contained my passport and visa, small packets of paper napkins. toothpicks, and camera stuff. I could have used some light-weight rubber galoshes if I had had them, and I recommend you carry some, when it rains there are shallow puddles in some places. You may want to include a fold-up umbrella or a slicker in your pouch. Incidentally, Chinese bath rooms in hotels are in a class with all the other international hotels throughout the world, The toilets in the major tourist areas are well-kept and pleasant. So what is it like from a personal standpoint in Yunnan?
